Mercury Capital was founded in 2010 with the goal of establishing partnerships with private business owners, founders and management teams.

We are focused on building businesses with sustainable growth prospects beyond the life of our investment period. This is reflected in the continued success of our past portfolio companies as well as our enduring relationships with our partners in these investments.

We are a small capable team based in Sydney, with backgrounds in management consulting, investment banking, and direct investing. We are deeply experienced and passionate about working with founders, management teams and shareholders to drive growth and value creation.

We are diligent in our approach and bring experience successfully supporting private businesses to drive growth and value creation, while also understanding that every business is unique in its culture and stage of its journey.

We have experience successfully investing across a broad range of sectors including technology, professional services, healthcare, education, consumer, manufacturing & industrial, recycling & sustainability, and financial services.

We target investments of $50-200m and are comfortable with shareholdings between 25-100%.

We are a hands-on and collaborative partner, working in partnership with founders and management teams to develop and execute an accelerated growth strategy. We ensure the business has the structure, people, processes, systems and culture it needs to deliver that strategy. We drive accelerated growth but we also focus on building businesses that will continue to grow beyond our investment period, with enduring and strategic value that is difficult to replicate.
