James joined Mercury Capital in 2020 having previously worked as a consultant at Bain & Company. His experience includes private equity transactions and growth strategy development across a range of industries including financial and professional services, consumer goods, technology and sport.

James is currently a director on the board of Mercury Capital portfolio companies Architectus and Findex.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
