Oliver has over 15 years of private equity and consulting experience including three years at McKinsey & Company before joining Mercury Capital in 2010.

He has broad experience working with growth companies across a range of industries in Australia, New Zealand and Asia and ranging in enterprise value from $40m up to large cap.

Oliver's current directorships include Squiz, Re.Group and Matrix Education.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland and a Master of Business Administration (Second Year Honours) from Harvard Business School.
